Someone lands on your site. They look around for about eight seconds. Then they're gone.
No call. No form. No trace.
It's not a design problem, usually. It's a strategy problem. The site says plenty about you and very little about them.
Start with the visitor, not the homepage
Most websites open with "Welcome" and a list of credentials. Visitors don't care yet. They care about their own problem.
So we flip it. Your site leads with what your customer is struggling with. Then it shows you get it. Then it earns the next step.
This is what I call a Position of Market Dominance. It's a short, sharp statement that speaks straight to the person you want. When it's right, the right people lean in. The wrong ones move on. Both are fine.
The Conversion Formula
Every page on a site that sells follows four moves:
- Captivate. Grab attention fast, with their problem, not your résumé.
- Fascinate. Give them a reason to keep reading.
- Educate. Show them how this gets solved, and why you're the one to do it.
- Close. Ask. Clearly. Without apology.
Skip one and the whole page wobbles. Most sites I review are missing two.
What a website strategy engagement covers
- Positioning. Your message, written for your ideal customer, in plain language.
- Site structure. Which pages you need, what each one does, and how people move between them.
- Page-by-page conversion plan. Headlines, proof, calls to action.
- SEO foundations. So the right people can find you in the first place.
- Build and launch. Handled by my team at Optimus Media on WordPress and Divi, the platform we've worked in for years.
Strategy first. Build second. That order matters. A beautiful site built on a fuzzy message is still a fuzzy site.
Why me
I've built and hosted websites through Optimus Media since 2000. That's a long time to watch what works and what doesn't. I'm also a business coach, so I don't look at a website as a design project. I look at it as one of your best sales people. Is it pulling its weight?
If it isn't, we fix that.
A good fit if
- Your site gets traffic but few inquiries
- You're proud of the business but not of the website
- You're about to redesign and want to get the message right before spending on pixels
- You'd like a site that sells while you sleep
Let's look at yours
Send me your URL. I'll tell you what I see.
