You know the feeling. The calendar is full. The team is busy. Customers keep coming.
And somehow the bank account doesn't reflect any of it.
That gap has a cause. Usually several. And most owners can't see them from the inside, because they're too close to the work.
That's where I come in.
What business growth coaching actually looks like
I'm Ron Shank. I coach established business owners one-on-one, and I take on a small number of clients each year. That's on purpose. You get my full attention, not a slice of it.
Here's the approach. I ask questions. A lot of them. Good ones. The kind that make you stop mid-sentence and say, "Huh. I hadn't looked at it that way."
I don't run your business. You do. My job is to help you see what's really going on, then work out the next move with you.
The Pathway to Profit
Every business has eight places where profit grows or leaks. I call this the Pathway to Profit:
- Lead Generation: how many of the right people find you
- Conversion Rate: how many of those people become real prospects
- Closing Rate: how many prospects say yes
- Retention: how many customers stay
- Average Dollars Per Sale: how much each sale is worth
- Frequency of Sales: how often customers buy
- Fixed Cost Reduction: what you can trim from the costs that don't move
- Variable Cost Reduction: what you can trim from the costs that do
Small gains in each area add up fast. A 10% lift across several of them beats a heroic push on just one.
Most owners are strong in two or three of these. We find the ones that are quietly costing you money.
Why people hire a coach
Nobody wakes up wanting a coach. They want three things. I call them the Three I's.
- Income: a business that pays you what the work is worth
- Independence: a business that doesn't fall apart when you step away
- Impact: work that matters to your customers, your team and your community
If one of those is missing, you'll feel it. We start there.
How it works
Step 1. A conversation. We talk. You tell me where you are. I tell you honestly whether I can help.
Step 2. A Deep Dive session. We look hard at your business and your numbers. You'll leave with a clearer picture of where profit is hiding.
Step 3. Weekly coaching. If we're a fit, we work together every week for a year. You'll set aside about two to four hours a week to work on the business, not just in it. That's the commitment. It's real, and it's what makes the results real.
Who this is for
You're a good fit if you:
- Own an established business with real customers and real revenue
- Feel stuck at a ceiling you can't quite explain
- Want straight answers, not flattery
- Are willing to do the work between sessions
You're probably not a fit if you want someone to hand you a plan and walk away. I don't work that way. The best ideas are the ones you reach yourself, and they stick.
A little about me
I've coached business owners since 2017. I'm a Certified Profit Advisor and the author of Rapid Results: The Pathway to Profit. Before that, I co-hosted a nationally syndicated morning radio show heard on more than 72 stations. I've also run Optimus Media, a web design and hosting company, since 2000.
Twenty-plus years of running my own business teaches you things a classroom can't.
Ready to talk?
Let's have a conversation. No pressure, no pitch deck. Just two people looking honestly at your business.
